Driving, Driving, Driving

I've put about 20,000 miles on my car since December. Scary, eh?

What do you need when you're in your car that much? Music that you can sing along to. Not books on tape, at least not for me.

I have a playlist that I know every song, every lyric to... so I can sing along as loud as I want in the car to keep me awake.

Last night, driving 3.5 hours (and getting home at midnight, after leaving my partner on her birthday), I really cranked it up.

Richie isn't joining the band for the entire rest of the tour.

Matthew Bongiovi tweeted today that he's still a member of the band.

I remain hopeful, but still nervous.

Gay Marriage

Several artists have issued statements in support of gay marriage. With all of the attention and political clout that he has, I desperately wish that JBJ would also come out in favor of it. I don't believe he's against it (after years of working with Desmond Child, who is openly gay, for example)... but it would mean a lot to me if he did.

A friend of mine IMmed me last night, and asked me if I got the 10" disc from Record Store Day. (I did not).  And he asked if we needed to lock Desmond Child, Richie and Jon in a basement for a few weeks.  Wholeheartedly, my answer was YES.  And I was reminded of the weirdest Bon Jovi lyrics possibly to date:
